About 81G



81G was established to provide independent IT services to small and medium sized businesses. We are part of Preferred UK Ltd, which has been providing IT services to organisations throughout the UK and Europe since it was established in 1998.

Our centralised operations are located in Southampton with nationwide coverage from 20 regional operation centres across the UK - a national organisation offering a unique local service. Our locations include Edinburgh, Dublin, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Bristol, Birmingham, London, Plymouth and Maidstone.

Whilst we provide a one stop IT shop we are specialists in keeping IT working and currently support over 12,000 computers.

For a fixed monthly subscription we proactively manage our customers’ computer systems to prevent problems happening in the first place. If problems do occur we can fix them remotely, without any additional cost to the customer – no matter how long it takes.

We tailor our service to meet our customer’s specific requirements. We can complement an existing IT team with specific services and expertise that the customer does not want to maintain in-house. Otherwise we can provide a fully outsourced solution where we take complete responsibility for providing an IT function to the business.

Our expertise is founded on the skills of our management, advisory and technical staff, all of whom have many years experience offering independent advice and providing services to companies of all sizes. We have a strong corporate pedigree and bring years of experience to provide corporate level services at a scale and price that suits small and medium sized businesses.
